As someone who has a background in Marketing and several years experience in public relations, I understand how vital it is to maintain a good reputation within (and even beyond) your industry.  Nowadays that reputation is primarily sustained online.  Therefore it is more important than ever to check out what people are saying about you and verify its validity.  Your online reputation could make you or break you.
